Support Nikita's Gender-Affirming Surgery

Hello—My name is Nikita (she/her), and I'm crowdfunding to support my upcoming gender-affirming top surgery (breast augmentation).

As a Black Trans woman, I often worry if I will experience violence for simply living in my truth. Your donations will help me live fully in my identity and feel safe within the community.

Before I transitioned, I taught middle and high school English for seven years. My students knew me as Mr. Washington. One of the lessons I taught my students was to live authentically, although I knew I wasn't doing the same for fear of being ostracized and shunned. Although I am no longer teaching, I keep in contact with many of my students. Several of whom are now in college. I am so relieved (and pleased) that they'll FINALLY get a chance to get to know the real Ms. Washington.
