Donation protected
We, the family of Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain, are asking for your support to raise the reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Nikki.
Nikki Cheng-Saelee McCain, mother of 4, has been missing since May 18, 2024 from Redding, CA.
In the late hours of Friday, May 17, 2024 Nikki texted her family that she was at Mercy hospital in Redding, CA due to an emergency involving her brother-in-law (her husband Tyler's brother, Brian). According to her text messages, Nikki and her mother-in-law, Jeanette left the hospital together in Jeanette's white Chevy Tahoe (Nikki was the one driving). After dropping her off at her home on the Redding Rancheria (next to Win-River Casino), Nikki went back to her home on Olinda Rd. Shortly after midnight, she texted that she was headed back to Jeanette's to return the vehicle.
Within the hour, she texted that she was returning the Tahoe to her mother-in-law’s home located behind the Win-River Resort and Casino. Her last communication was at 12:35am on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Nikki has not been heard from since.
On May 24, 2024, Nikki's
5 months prior to Nikki going missing, in December of 2023, she was held hostage and severely beaten for 3 hours by her husband and father of her 4 children, Tyler McCain. He was charged with four felony charges which included corporal injury to a spouse, false imprisonment, criminal threats, and assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, in addition to 15 other allegations.
On May 7, 11 days before Nikki went missing, Tyler pleaded not guilty to the four felony domestic violence charges. Charges that Tyler and his family had been trying to get her to recant. Following that hearing, Nikki told her family that she planned to file for divorce.
The preliminary hearing for the felony charges was scheduled for June 3, 2024. Due to Nikki not being present, his charges have been dismissed by the Shasta County District Attorney’s office but they do reserve all rights to reopen the case within the next 2 years.
Nikki is not only a beloved daughter and sister to her 6 siblings, she is a mother of 4 children--all of whom she shares with her husband, Tyler McCain. Her very close-knit family is reaching every avenue to get her story heard and spread awareness to her case and domestic violence. Nikki’s 4 children are currently in the care of her family and are being supported physically and emotionally by a large network of family, close friends, educators, and coaches.
Months have gone by with no word on where Nikki could be. There are people who are involved and/or know what happened to Nikki. The currently combined $30,000 has not been enough incentive for these witnesses to come forward. We are hoping a reward directly from the family will motivate someone to provide the information we need to find Nikki and bring justice to those involved.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Please continue to pray for Nikki and her children.
