Support Nikky's Cancer Journey

In September, Nikky Robinson was diagnosed with Stage IV Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As a 25 year old vegan, this diagnosis was something they and their family were not anticipating. Nikky is at the start of their career and life, navigating a new job, providing for their partner and two children (a Golden Retriever puppy and Aussie), and tackling the everyday challenges of living in New York City. This diagnosis has introduced some unforeseen complications to their previous life plan, but Nikky is a person of incredible resilience and has been handling this news with so much grace and care for those in their support team.

If you know Nikky, you know they are truly a source of light and happiness in a world that is often very dark. I have been best friends with them for the past 15 years and I can safely say that my life has improved tenfold just from knowing them. Nikky has overcome so much already in their life, and we have no doubt cancer will be just another item on their long list of achievements. But in order for Nikky to be able to navigate this next chapter as successfully as possible, we want to lift those additional life stressors that become difficult to unattainable while managing cancer treatments.

We are hoping to raise $40,000 to cover medical and mental health treatments not covered by insurance, Nikky’s transportation to and from treatments (as commuting on the subway with cancer during COVID is not ideal), lodging if Nikky needs to stay closer to their treatment facility, travel costs for their family and care team to assist them in New York, rent assistance in the event they are not capable to work for a period of time, and financial support for dog walkers.
