Support Nilgiris Communities Fighting COVID
My name is Cole and I was part of the first batch of Cornell students who traveled to Kotagiri to participate in the NFLC in 2015. I often reflect on the NFLC as one of the most formative chapters in my education, and continue to cherish the relationships that were forged across the globe during our deep learning experience together.
I write to you today as India strives to recover after enduring a devastating surge of COVID-19 infections and deaths, as you are no doubt aware. Total cases in the country have surpassed 28.5 million, while COVID deaths have climbed to an unimaginable 340,700--and these figures are almost certainly undercounts.
The work that Keystone Foundation does to cultivate the resilience of Nilgiris communities is even more critical now in the wake of this pandemic. Beyond recovery, there is much work to be done to prepare for the future. I have been thinking about everything I gained from my NFLC experience and how I can show up to support our friends in the midst of this vast challenge.
In the spirit of mutual aid, will you join me in making a contribution to The Nilgiris Foundation (Keystone's North American entity)?
