Support Nina and Dan's Fight Against Leukemia #StahlStrong

Hello! Kyle (Big brother) here. My sister Nina Harty's (27) fiancé, Daniel (29), was diagnosed with Mixed Phenotype Acute Leukemia (MPAL) on March 25th, 2024. MPAL is a rare form of blood cancer that only accounts for 2-4% of all acute Leukemias each year. It took Daniel six long months to receive a diagnosis, during which he was subjected to multiple X-Rays, MRI's, PET scans, Nuclear Medicine Bone scans, and bone biopsies. Daniel has already endured three long months of intensive chemotherapy treatments that has rendered him in complete remission since June 26th, 2024. Unfortunately, Daniel's journey is not over yet. To be cured of this terrible disease, he must undergo an Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant where he will receive more intense chemotherapy and full body radiation. Daniel's brother, Matthew, was a complete 10/10 HLA match and will be donating his stem cells. Daniel has a long road to recovery ahead of him, and there is a lot of uncertainty around when he will be able to return to his daily routine (work) and the activities he enjoys the most (golf). Also, because of the long and uncertain recovery Nina and Daniel have to endure post-transplant, they unfortunately had to postpone their wedding from September 29th, 2024 to September 18th, 2025. Proceeds donated to this GoFundMe will be used for daily living expenses, and unforeseen medical expenses including future fertility treatments as they would love to start a family of their own.
