Help!! Nipsey Russell in hospital-still needs a home

January Update: We have continued helping Nipsey and he still has not found a home. He has some tricky but manageable medical conditions... we get one thing better and the next thing surfaces. He needs a very special adopter. This past 10 days his medical bills have run $4500- Just since Jan 13th. He is currently hospitalized for a seizure- which was a completely new thing. They dont know why he had it. He has not had another one... the next recommendaation is a neurology consult and and MRi which are completely out of our reach. Anything to help with this last set of bills- we had no choice but to hospitalize, Thank you. See updates for more progress

Nipsey Russel is a senior pit bull with serious (treatable) skin issues. We helped him two years ago and the transformation was incredible. Unfortunately, his owner was unable to keep up with the medicines necessary. The skin condition has returned very aggressively. We made a vet appointment for him TOMORROW and will only be able to treat for how much we raise!!

Last time we went it was $700 and he was not able to be vaccinated because he was so underweight. Just one of the medicine he needed was $200. At the time, we provided him with food- for a year- and he seems to have maintained the weight, so will hopefully be able to get the vaccines. As the dog will likely need lifelong medication- or a special hypo- allergenic diet, the owner is going to relinquish him to a home where he can be comfortable in his golden years. As you can see from pictures below, he is in a lot of discomfort. We know this dog. He is very sweet and deserves better.
