Help Nevin alserr family escape the war

I am Nevin Al-Sir living in Gaza trying to help myself, my family and my child escape the war zone.

Let me tell you my story… I was pregnant before the war on Gaza and when the war came, an evacuation order came to our house, so I moved to my family’s house and I felt very tired and exhausted as there were no cars to transport us from one place to another. When my husband and I moved to my family’s house, an evacuation order came to my family’s area, so we moved again to a tent and it was very difficult as the weight of the pregnancy increased and the tent was small where I, my mother, father, brothers, sisters and their children were.

We took with us nothing but the memories of our home in the hope of returning and resuming our lives. We moved to places that were supposed to be safe, but they became dangerous and we were forced to move from one place to another in search of safety for my family. We have been displaced five times and have not found a safe place yet.

Can you imagine that my elderly parents who have many diseases, children and pregnant women are forced to leave their homes and sleep in the street? After withdrawing from our neighborhood, we rushed back eager to check on our house, but we found it had turned into a pile of rubble. We did not know whether to grieve for our house or for our current situation.

We returned to the tent disappointed. We returned to the street. I completed the rest of my pregnancy in the tent, which was not suitable for living in. My due date came and there were no means of assistance in the hospital. The birth was very difficult. My child was born in the war and grew up in poor conditions, as there was no shelter or clean environment. Because of my malnutrition, my milk supply stopped and I could no longer buy milk because it was expensive. I hope to help us save my life, the life of my child and my family.

To get out of Gaza and live freely and with dignity, far from war and destruction. We deserve to live with dignity and feel safe.
