hello everyone, my name is Elham Abdelrahim. I live in Los Angeles, and I created this fundraiser for my friend Nour , who lives in Gaza, as she cannot start her own fundraising campaign.

Gofundme is an American company and a United States address is needed to start a fundraiser, therefore I am stepping in as their US friend and running this account. All of the money raised will be passed directly from me to Nour via Moneygram.

My name is Nour , I am 21 years old, and I am from northern Gaza.

I once lived an independent, peaceful life with a beautiful home and simple dreams .

Life in Gaza had its challenges, but I managed to live with hope and dignity.

That was until October 7th 2023.

On that day, war broke out in Gaza, and the sound of explosions and the horrors of war filled the air.

I had no choice but to flee my home in search of safety.

I moved to southern Gaza, where I set up a tent made of torn fabric. I now live alone in this tent.

and everything I knew has changed, The situation only worsened as the war continued.

It's not just the constant bombings that make life unbearable, but also the fact that I am lesbian. In my society, people like me are viewed with contempt and rejection. I can't leave my tent unless it's absolutely necessary, and I live in constant fear of judgment and hostility.

On top of that, I am struggling with severe shortages of food, water, and hygiene supplies. Life has become a daily battle for survival. I am at a breaking point, with no clear path forward. I am in desperate need of help, either to survive in this community or to find a way to leave Gaza for a safer place.

This is why I am launching this fundraising campaign. It is not only for my survival, but also to give a voice to others like me LGBTQ+ individuals in Gaza and the region who are facing the same challenges.

We need to live in peace and dignity in our own communities, or at the very least, be able to leave for a safer, more accepting place.

The war is ongoing, and the explosions never stop. Every day, I fear for my life, wondering if a missile will take me before I have a chance to escape. But I refuse to give up. I want to live. I want to live with my dignity, and I want to be able to be myself.
