Support Nora and Paige's Fight Against Blindness

Hello! My name is Nora Wagner. My sister, Paige, and I are raising funds to save our vision. We were born into a generational quirk [curse] of living our lives knowing that each passing day brings us closer to blindness. We have a genetic eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), which is a degenerative eye condition that has already begun to take our eyesight. We have lived our entire lives without hope for a cure or treatment as there are 150+ different genetic variations of this disease. Never in my twenty-two years did I think we would ever have a chance for treatment in our lifetime… until now.

Diagnosed at age seven, we grew up night-blind and lacking peripheral vision amongst other various handicaps, including slight color blindness, difficulty transitioning from light to dark, decreased depth perception and spatial awareness, and feeling like a burden at a very young age, on top of both of us having astigmatism and needing glasses. We recently connected with a team of scientists conducting a groundbreaking clinical trial, one that had found great success in stopping and even reversing the blindness caused by ALL genetic variations of RP. This clinical trial has entered phase III and has just begun treating human patients with success, but the window of opportunity has begun to close. They are only accepting 150 participants from the United States and Canada. Paige and I have completed the screening process and are awaiting referral but face a great financial barrier. Funds donated will go directly to the costs of this trial, travel and housing, time off work, recovery, transportation, etc. Please, if able, even the smallest donations could change our lives.
