Support Norman's Fight Against FIP

Hello! Me and my girlfriend just recently moved into our own apartment, got our own jobs and are working on college all at the same time! During these past two months of living here we moved in our three year old cat, and happened to adopt a five month old sometime in August. A week or two back, our younger cat, Norman, started having coughing fits very frequently, which caused concern. The concern mostly resided with the fact that a few other kittens from the shelter beforehand had passed away from something known as FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), and the coughing was a small indication towards him having it. We luckily found time to bring him into the vet early, and through some tests we discovered that he in fact does have FIP.

With any normal virus or disease, it would be very easy to either see him pull through or get the necessary medicine to treat him. Although FIP does have treatment, it is extremely costly, ranging from two to three thousand dollars, not to mention the difficult ways to obtain the treatment we are having to go through. As college students with loans and bills to pay, it is extremely hard for us to put aside that amount of money, and without it we would have to put Norman down.

I have personally never had cats in my life, but Norman is by far one of the sweetest and nicest cats I have ever met. It is devastating to hear that he might not even make it to his first birthday.
