Support North Richmond Children This Holiday
Donation protected
It takes a village to support our children.
Verde Elementary School in North RIchmond is a jewel in a community that has many challenges. The children here live in the community with the lowest per capita income in the Bay Area and high rates of crime and COVID-19. North Richmond's future is bright because of these children and this school.
Every year for the last two decades, County Supervisor John Gioia has led a fundraiser in which great people from across Contra Costa County donate to support these children. Please join us by making a donation today! Donations as small as $5 can make a difference. All donors will be recognized by Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia via official letter and in his community newsletter.
This year, we'll use donations to buy new books for each student via West County READS. Last year, you helped provide books and also paint an amazing youth-designed mural in the school's cafeteria.
If you'd prefer check rather than GoFundMe, Checks can be made payable to the non-profit "CHDC of North Richmond" c/o 2020 Verde School Drive and mailed to 11780 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D, El Cerrito, CA 94530
If you have questions, please contact Robert Rogers in Supervisor Gioia's office (510-231-8688) or [email redacted]ounty.us
A warm thanks in advance for your help and support!
Supervisor Gioia will also have a Holiday Zoom party and you're all invited! It will be at 5 pm on December 9 and you can attend by clicking here .
Verde Principal Eric Acosta-Verprauskus will also report during the Zoom party about what his amazing teachers, staff, parents, volunteers and children did in 2020 and their goals for 2021.
