HELP US ESTABLISH K-12 CLASSICAL EDUCATION IN TOLEDO, OHIO!
SEEKING PATRIOTIC DONORS THROUGHOUT THE FRUITED PLAIN! Four years ago, a small band of concerned parents, businessmen, and retired teachers gathered to discuss their Vision of establishing the First Classical Charter School in the Toledo, Ohio area! These dedicated men and women believed children in the Toledo area would greatly benefit from a traditional, teacher-led, Classical Classroom Environment. From those monthly meetings arose Northwest Ohio Classical Academy (NOCA) http://nocacademy.org
NOCA was granted a Charter and plans to Open Fall 2019 as a Tuition-Free Classical Public Community Academy.

WE ARE SO CLOSE TO REACHING OUR GOAL OF BRINGING CLASSICAL EDUCATION TO TOLEDO! WE HAVE ONE FINAL HURDLE TO SUCCESSFULLY OVERCOME:

DEADLINE: August 1, 2019
WHY: The State of Ohio does not provide school-year funding until mid-October. Therefore, your generous Financial Donation will help cover start-up expenses such as building rent, insurance, teacher and administrative salaries, marketing campaign, purchasing classroom supplies such as desks, chairs, computer lab equipment, playground structures, paint for classrooms and hallways, flooring in classrooms, lockers, science lab equipment, art and music supplies, K-8th grade textbooks, establish a library, and so forth.

NOCA is UNIQUE, CHALLENGING & BUILDS VIRTUES!
NOCA will be located at 5025 Glendale Avenue Toledo, Ohio, which is an accessible location for children all across the Toledo area. NOCA has hired an extraordinary principal and nine top-notch classically-minded teachers who tell us NOCA is their dream job. At NOCA students will learn language and literature, history, geography, government, math, the sciences, music, and the visual arts in a coherent and orderly program that runs from the rudiments of basic literacy and math skills to higher orders of thought and expression. Students will be taught an organized sequence of skills and core knowledge through sound, time-proven methods. They will read classic works of literature, study fine arts, and learn first-hand accounts of history through the study of primary source documents, including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
Students will receive rigorous training in the fundamentals and theories of math and science, including the scientific method, and will benefit from Socratic instructional techniques and training in study skills that further foster learning and character development. Through the Socratic Method, students will learn to ask important questions, setting them on the path to understanding themselves and their world, and encouraging them to act ethically and responsibly.
Additionally, NOCA’s program will introduce and seek to instill virtues of character in the lower grades through these pillars of character education: Responsibility, Respect, Courage, Courtesy, Honesty, and Citizenship. The upper grades will have additional instruction in these classical virtues: Prudence, Justice, Temperance, and Fortitude.
