Support Northwest United FC G08's 2024 Tournament Travels

We are part of a non-profit soccer club, Northwest United FC, based out of Mount Vernon, WA in Skagit county, with players from within the county and neighboring counties (Whatcom, Island, Snohomish). Last weekend (5/5/24), the Girls 2008 Black team won the US Youth Soccer Washington State Championship for their age group. This achievement allows them to play in the USYS Far West Regional Championships from June 21-27 at the Waipiʻo Soccer Complex in Honolulu, HI to compete against other State Champions from AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, & WY on a pathway to Nationals. Additionally, last summer these girls won a qualifier tournament that earned them a spot to play in the Surf Cup tournament in San Diego, CA from July 19-22 to compete against other top teams from all over the USA to be seen by college coaches.

Most of these girls have played together, with the same amazing coach, since they were 8 or 9 years old, and have come a long way in their development as players and people. Winning this championship is a true testament to their competitive spirit, positive attitudes, and love for each other and the game of soccer.

We are fortunate to be able to earn spots at tournaments hosted in amazing locations. However, with short notice and <5 weeks to plan to get to the Honolulu tournament, it is not an inexpensive place to get to and stay at for a week with a team of 15. Especially with a trip to San Diego shortly after.

Your support, in addition to their other fundraising efforts, not only aids them in competition but also contributes to their growth as individuals and teammates. We can assure you that you will be proud of the way they will play and represent their communities on regional and national stages.

All funds will be distributed equally between the players attending to be used toward their individual travel expenses.
