Support NOTC's 2024 Tour and Year Round Operations

Want to join us in making a difference? We need YOUR support to fund New Old Time Chautauqua(NOTC)’s 2024 budget, including our summer tour of the rural westside of Washington State, visiting Forks, the Hoh Tribe, and Port Angeles from June 22— July 6. We’ll bring world-class performances and free arts workshops to underserved rural areas, paint a mural as a lasting gift to the Hoh Tribe, and share in friendship and community, everywhere we go.

We travel on a shoestring, but even shoestrings cost money! This year, we have over 60 intergenerational volunteers coming on tour. Each day it costs about $400 to feed our volunteers. We are traveling a distance of 1200 miles which will cost over $100 a day. Mural paint, signboard, and brushes will cost $2369. We also need to cover annual expenses, like a storage locker in Port Townsend, web-hosting, insurance, and vehicle maintenance. All told we need about $12,000 this spring & summer to carry on with our work and to keep the organization functioning throughout the year.

Unfamiliar with the NOTC? We are an all-volunteer traveling community of performers, educators, and community organizers, founded in 1981, whose mission is to build community through laughter, entertainment and education. Our troupe includes world-class jugglers, folk singers, street performers, magicians, aerialists, muralists, clowns, a full marching band, and more!

Each summer for the last 43 years NOTC has traveled to small rural communities and Native Nations throughout the Greater Northwest. Collaborating with each town or reservation, we act as a catalyst for building community. At each stop, we give live performances, provide free educational workshops, share meals, and provide acts of service, as directed by the local community.

We have no paid staff so all money goes to keep our wheels rolling and our band parading. Even a small donation of $7 covers a day’s food for one artist on tour. Thank you for your support!
