Support Nova in Remembering Chad's Legacy

Hello, My name is Nova Mason and I am fundraising for funeral and celebration of life expenses. I would like to tell a story about my husband Chad who recently passed away on June 10th, 2024 from suicide. Chad was my king since day one. We met at a fabrication shop that we both worked at where I was a welder building tractors and Chad was the painter who finished the job after I built them. Chad was always respectful of our work place and never pursued me because we were co workers and felt as if it was unprofessional. Shortly after, Chad ended up quitting from the company because his passion was with painting and restoring cars. We later bumped into each other at the gym that we worked out at and he asked me if he could see me again some time; I said yes. A few weeks went by and I eventually left the fabrication shop to work for another. Several months went by before Chad confessed his feelings for me and mine for him so we went on a date and it was something special (he even pulled my chair out for me to sit). We eventually moved in with each other at a beautiful little home that we started a body shop in together. Chad and I were invincible!

Another few months went by as we were building our business together and got into a beautiful shop that we could continue to grow in. By this time we were unstoppable! As time went on, we grew our business from a single car garage to a full collision repair facility.

The day we got married was the happiest day of our life and even though I asked him to marry me, we became each others lion and lioness. A few months after being married, the unthinkable happened to me where I was assaulted and someone took something from us that Chad could never let go. Since that day, Chad always blamed himself for not being able to save me even though I would always remind him that it was not his fault and that he couldn't have controlled the other persons decisions of hurting me the way he did. This is where the depression and anxiety started to kick in. I always tried to stay by Chad's side every day to reassure him that it wasn't his fault with what happened to me.

When I found Chad on June 10th I was destroyed. He was my rock, my king, and my backbone. Chad always kept me centered and focused on the big picture of our life.

Depression is a serious sickness that I wish no one would ever have to face but it did get the best of Chad. I hope any one who is reading this who might feel the same will reach out for the best help to subside the feelings that Chad endured for many years.

I will always love you Chad, down to my last breath. Just as we said in our wedding vows, "Till death due us part".
