Support N's Journey to Independence
Donation protected
Through my work with Coalition for Responsible Home Education, sometimes I meet homeschool alumni in need. I recently met N (name withheld for privacy reasons), a member of the LGBT community who stopped receiving any formal education (homeschooling or otherwise) at age 14, and who had been trapped in an abusive home environment until age 21. He wasn't able to get an education, a driver's license, or a job. He was never taught how to drive. And he has been desperately trying to figure out how he could escape and start his life. N has now made that escape, and I and our wonderful network of homeschool alumni are helping connect N to services. But as you can imagine, it's hard out there, and it's especially hard for anyone who has no family support.
I'm fundraising so that folks who would like to chip in can help financially support N. He left with the clothes on his back and a small bag. He needs everything you can imagine--food, toiletries, phone plan, shelter, and money to continue his education and someday fulfill his dream to work in tech.
Now's our time, homeschool alumni community! Please give as you can, and share widely.
