COLORECTAL CANCER IN AFRICA AWARENESS: MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

This fundraiser is to provide travel awards for nurses and early career doctors to attend the colorectal cancer in Africa Symposium.
Colorectal cancer is preventable and treatable. A multidisciplinary team approach to patient care is important for good clinical outcomes. Multidisciplinary means experts from various specialties are involved in the care of patients. Some specialties involved in care of patients with colorectal cancer include gastroenterologists, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and nurses.
MONEY RAISED WILL SUPPORT ATTENDEES: Travel, accommodation and registration for this important conference. The conference provides the opportunity for updates and skill building.
