Support NY Correction Officers' S.T.R.I.K.E Fund

Hello, my name is Vinny Blasio, and I welcome you to the NY Correction Officer S.T.R.I.K.E fund. S.T.R.I.K.E -stands for- Solidarity Through Rights, Integrity, Knowledge and Empowerment.

For over two years our Correction Officers have been dealing with a severe staffing crisis and they have been treated in some of the most inhumane ways possible. These Officers and Supervisors have been subject to constant neglect from NY State. They have endured being mandated for shift after shifts and many have been mandated for over 24 hours. This is not sustainable. It is ripping families apart, not to mention the toll it is taken upon the officer’s health, both mentally and physically. For too long the cries of the men and women protecting NY from convicted felons have been ignored.

When does it end?

Because of the inactions of the correctional system, some NY Legislators, and the Governor, they have placed our Officers in grave danger that can no longer be accepted. Their pleas and cries for help have been ignored. They are now paying in blood. If this was a private employer, they would have been shut down a long time ago.

We ask for your donations and much more importantly your support to help these fine men and women that walk the toughest beat in Law Enforcement. Together hopefully we can send a strong message that CHANGE needs to happen NOW!

If the funds raised are not used or if NY State wakes up and funds are not needed, all funds will go back to those that donated.

The organizer's personal donation will go to the Law Enforcement helpline and or Law Enforcment Suicide Prevention hot line.
