HELLO EVERYONE!
My name is Kim Randolph, MD. I am a fellow physician who knows what it is like to fall on hard times. I am reaching out to our community to help another fellow doctor in need. She is a physician who worked tirelessly through the pandemic and was hit with many losses. She has had a very difficult time recovering. She was one of the many hardworking physicians in NYC when the COVID- 19 pandemic initially hit. She fell ill, as did hundreds of thousands of others, and unfortunately was also hit with long COVID. She's been out of clinical practice ever since. Her husband suffered some medical setbacks as well, mainly strokes. This lead to a long recovery for both of them.
Yesterday, I received word that she and her family are facing eviction from their apartment. I know that collectively we can help her get through this temporary hurdle and so I am calling on our community to help with any monetary amount. They have $10,000 in back rent to pay. A first goal of $1500, by next Thursday, would temporize the situation.
None of us are immune to health setbacks. Some of us are more prepared than others. Some of us have family who can help no matter the situation, but others must rely on the power of community. That's what we are... a community. This is our greatest asset. I pray that we can rise to assist one of our own. I know that we have the power to turn our colleague's situation around. Any assistance is appreciated.
Thank you for all that you do in advance.
