Support Oakley's Emergency Surgery Fund

Hi, my name is Katie and I have a friend who needs help. Her poor dog Oakley needs emergency surgery for a urinary blockage. Please donate if you can - anything is appreciated.

UPDATE

Oakley is still with the emergency vet as he underwent surgery yesterday afternoon. He has always been a happy fun and playful boy and we knew something was wrong on Thursday afternoon when his whole demeanor changed. He was lethargic, wouldn’t eat, kept wanting to go outside but couldn’t urinate. Friday morning I had attempted a drop off with the vet for evaluation but an emergent xray showed blockages in his urinary tract and I was diverted to pet emergency.

The emergency vet conducted more tests and results came back with a UTI, kidney stones, inflammation, urinary tract obstruction and he wasn’t doing well. He was rushed into surgery thereafter. Leo, Aniah, and myself are missing our furry little buddy and are praying he will be released today.

The surgery costs are $6800 in total due this the severity and the surgery being longer then expected. We are asking for any help people can offer wether it be a donation or a simple share of this post. Anything is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE 5/7/24

Oakley was given 2 options on Sunday 1. Come home and see if his health improves in his safe space or 2. Euthanize

He is days away from his second birthday and we decided to give him a fighting chance. He is home although he needs 24 hour care. We are doing another blood draw this week to determine if he is improving.

(He was cared for and treated at Olympia pet hospital if you prefer to donate directly to the institition. Any help is greatly appreciated)

Oakleys labs are failing to improve. We are currently waiting to hear what our next options are. We still need a lot of help and I’m so sorry if this is annoying to anyone but our lives are being ripped apart right now. Please share please help spread the word, anything helps.
