Support Ocula Primary School, Lokung, Uganda

Imagine a school where sitting at a desk is not an option, and most learning is done on the ground, which is quite cold. This is the reality for children at Ocula Primary School in Lokung in Northern Uganda. These pupils have barriers to adequate education because of a severe lack of teaching and learning materials. The pupils do not have chairs and desks to sit on while learning. Instead, they, more often than not, sit down on cold cement floors for hours while learning. This is further compounded by the fact that the area has suffered from the effect of over 20 years of war from the late 80s up to about 2006.
With your help, I would like to raise around £5000 to pay for 160 three-sitter desks and form combinations to provide 480 pupils where students can sit and learn. The money will also be used to buy a computer and printer for the school. The only computer and printer in the school will be used to produce information sheets, homework and revision of past papers and textbooks for reinforcing learning.
Please help by sharing and or donating.
Thank you in advance
