Okemos Solar Car Racing Challenge 2024 Fundraiser - $25,000

We are a group of Okemos High School students designing and building a fully-functioning, drivable solar car. We plan to compete in the Solar Car Challenge 2025, which is a competition designed to motivate students in science and engineering. Our club has a history of strong performances at the event, placing second in 2019 as a rookie team and winning the championship title this past year in 2023. This year, we are completely reconstructing the car from the frame up. This will include us installing more efficient solar panels, allowing us to harness more energy, and buying a hub motor, making our propulsion system more efficient.
