Support Ollie Daly

Ollie Daly is renowned for his dedication and commitment to his local community and his county. His voluntary efforts have greatly assisted his native Ballycumber, his adopted home, Ferbane and his county, Offaly.

Ollie has, throughout his life, served the GAA – as player, as club officer, as team manager, as trainer of club teams far and wide, as mentor, and always as a huge supporter of the Gaelic Games he loves. He has served as chairman of his county and his club, and when doing so has given every second of his time to enhancing the games, the playing experiences of players and the impact on the wider community.

Ollie has fallen into poor health in recent times – having survived a quadruple heart bypass some years ago, diabetes has led to a recent leg amputation. The ‘can do’ approach to life and the great enthusiasm he brought to supporting others facing their greatest challenge.

His biggest obstacle is the need to alter his house in Gallen View, Ferbane to enable him return home and lead as normal and independent a life as possible. The renovations required and associated costs are considerable and a group of family and friends have joined forces to raise funds that will contribute to those costs.

Ollie has spent so much of his life supporting others throughout the county and country, particularly through the GAA, even regularly turning up in person to support Offaly Association events in the UK and USA. Now his family and friends would like to support him in his greatest challenge and are seeking your assistance. Please give what you can to Support Ollie Daly.
