Keep Ollie's Place Cat Rescue Open: Every Dollar Matched!

Ollie’s Place Cat Adoption Center, part of Mighty Mutts Inc. (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit), urgently needs your support to continue its life-saving mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for cats in need throughout New York City. A fully volunteer run group, it can no longer meet the rising expenses of rent, food, and veterinary care. Without support, Ollie’s cannot renew the lease and continue to save the cats who desperately need help.

A special donor has offered to match 100% of proceeds raised in this GoFundMe! This is an opportunity of epic proportions for our cats! We are looking for large donors to help us reach this goal and to provide on-going funding as well.

Located on East 9th Street in the heart of the East Village, Ollie’s Place is a beloved community gem and a haven for street cats who’ve faced neglect, hardship, or abandonment. Here, every cat—regardless of age, health, or temperament—receives the care, attention, and love it deserves. The dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to prepare them for a safe, happy life, and to find the perfect human match for each cat. Many of these cats would not stand a chance without this sanctuary, and Ollie’s Place has touched the lives of countless animals who would otherwise have no hope.

Unlike many rescues that operate solely through foster networks, Ollie’s Place has a physical space that allows it to do what many others can’t: provide a free-range space where cats can interact and form bonds with each other and potential adopters, and receive collaborative hands-on medical care and socialization from a dedicated team of 50+ volunteers. Cats who may have once been shy or fearful blossom into loving, adoptable pets through constant enrichment and interaction with the public. It’s this special environment that makes Ollie’s Place a truly one-of-a-kind operation.

We need your help to keep Ollie alive. And right now with the 100% donation match, this could be huge for us! We are looking to raise $50,000 - our donor will match this dollar for dollar and $100,000 will fund Ollie’s for a full year. Just think of all the cats we will save together!
