Support Olu’s life-saving liver transplant journey

Prophetic words from 'Forgotten Man', a song Olu Rowe wrote and recorded back in 1992:
“I work for everything in my life, but it’s taken all away
And I’m wondering how I’m going to make me a living now
Of all the precious things I have, got a baby boy and girl
I’m a husband and family man, so how am I going to make a living now?”
Olu Rowe is a loving and loved, God fearing, husband, father of a teenage son and a teenage daughter, brother, friend, and a high level artistic creative. Over more than 30 years, he has selflessly shared his musical talent with audiences globally, bringing warmth and joy to so many. He has inspired and mentored numerous artists including locally in the Southampton area. You may well have heard him perform as Olu, a solo artist, or as part of ‘Majestic Groove 4 or his 7 & 8 piece Majestic groove. You may even be a long-time fan who’s familiar with his very early work on ‘Ten records’ such as ‘Forgotten Man’, and ‘Another Broken Heart’.
He and his beautiful family’s peaceful lives were thrown into chaos when he was recently diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). PSC is a rare chronic liver disease in which the bile ducts inside and outside the liver become inflamed and scarred, and eventually narrowed or blocked. Olu is on a waiting list for a liver transplant (you can follow his touching journey here), our prayer is that this happens successfully as soon as possible.
At this stage of the journey, the disease has left Olu unable to work to support his family, and to help with the unexpected cost of fighting this rare disease.
We are a group of friends who love and care deeply for Olu and his family. We have set up this page to appeal to the kind public to raise funds to help support Olu’s fight and his family. Any amount you can offer would be greatly appreciated by Olu and his family. We are praying and are hopeful that Olu will fight the disease, return to his family and loved ones, and do what he loves – blessing us with his immense talents.
Thank you so much in advance for your help, and may God richly bless you.
