WHO WE ARE

Omega Men in Action, Inc. ("OMIA"), was established in 2000 as a 501(c)(3) organization by brothers from the Eta Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc with a mission dedicated to strengthening youth and families in the Greater Boston community. OMIA promotes self-sufficiency and holistic well-being by creating and implementing innovative programming. OMIA addresses educational, health, mentoring, and social action advances to enhance the quality of life for many vulnerable populations.

OMIA’s Emergency and Mobile Food Pantries are essential community-based programs that provide bi-monthly food distribution to families across the Greater Boston communities. OMIA is an approved agency partner with the Greater Boston Food Bank. The Emergency and Mobile Food Pantries provide approximately 50 families with grocery items and fresh produce at each distribution.

In addition to combating food insecurity, OMIA solicits monetary support to aid the Eta Phi Chapter in offering college-bound students Scholarship Opportunities and Resources, Distributes Essential Items to our Homeless Community, Brings Awareness to Health Inequities, Honors Local Educators & Community Leaders, Gives Exposure to Talented High School Artists, Musicians, and Creators, and Hosts annual Back to School & Holiday Toy Drives.

Omega Men in Action, Inc. and the brothers of Eta Phi Chapter will continue to impact the community by providing these opportunities and resources to our community members who need extra support while strengthening our relationships with organizations and businesses that align to accomplish those goals.
