Support Omi’s Medical Emergency ❤️

Friends and family,

On June 22nd, Omi was vomiting all day and progressively became lethargic throughout the day. Omi is typically energetic but something was not right.

Early morning June 23rd, Omi let out a howl and I found her at my bedroom door shaking with paws cold and rigid. Her heart rate was elevated and I packed up as quickly as I could to take her to the animal ER.

This was an extremely stressful and traumatic moment as I felt that this was perhaps maybe the last time I would be with my furry companion. I’ve had Omi since she was a kitten and those that have met her know that she has a pure heart and is friendly and playful. Omi with a little over two years with her has completely changed my outlook on life and makes a great roommate and I love her immensely.

Thank you so much for reaching out and asking how our dear Omi is doing. Omi is recovering from her hospital visit and the doctor said she recovered tremendously during her hospitalization at Elk Grove Veterinary Specialty and Emergency and that they believe that Omi experienced a form of Anaphylaxis but are unsure with their findings. Omi had severe dehydration and severe elevated kidney values.

Most importantly, Omi is somewhat recovered back home and is taking a nap as I write this.

We are asking if you have the means to help us recover from this unexpected animal emergency. Every dollar will help us with the costs of hospitalization.

And to everyone, I can’t thank you enough for the time to read this and support Omi through her recovery. Every thought and prayer was received with love and thank you to the kind strangers on the internet who sent in photos of their cats and expressed their love too!
