Support Melanie's Gender Affirmation Journey

Hello, my name is Melanie. I am a black/native trans woman living in Florida. I am a writer, preferrably about lgbt characters in fantasy or supernatural settings. I like video games, like Deep Rock Galactica, Omiori, Fear and Hunger, and Marvel Rivals. I know this is a long shot and I debated starting a GoFundMe for quite some time, but after having a talk with a friend, I decided it was better to try and fail than to not try at all.

I am making this GoFundMe because I am hoping to raise the funds for facial feminization surgery. I'd like to go to South Korea or Thailand for the procedure. I don't know if 10k will cover everything, but I promise this money will only ever go towards my gender affirming facial surgery.

I currently work as a line cook. I've been working in the culinary industry for around 7 years now. My true passion, however, is writing. I want to make a living as a professional writer. I have dabbled in game development and art for some time but have felt little gain in those fields. Honestly, at this point in my life, I don't really know where I want to take my life except I'm certain of my gender affirmation facial surgery.

To give you a little bit more about me: My name is Ophelia and I struggled with gender dysphoria my whole life. I lived with self-denial, self-hate, and an inclination towards suicidality for almost a decade before I decided to try hormones. Starting HRT changed my life dramatically, but now I am hoping to take things a step forward with actual feminization surgery.
