Hello everybody, Orchid here! I am a local Portland adaptive skater who does WCMX (wheelchair motocross) and I need your help to keep me skating! my current wcmx chair is falling apart and no longer fits me properly. Unfortunately due to errors, I did not get a grant this year that would fund my chair, and now I’m looking to the community to help me get back out there shredding. As many of you know, adaptive sports equipment is expensive and I was estimated around $6,000 for a new chair which I attached below, so I need all the help I can get. WCMX has changed my life in ways I could never imagine, and I have been devastated to not be able to skate or give lessons. I would love to be able to continue skating to represent adaptive skaters locally, but also would like to continue to provide lessons to those who are new and interested in WCMX in Portland.
