Support Original Ska Music - BDR fundraiser 2024

Hi all - we have been supporting original ska artists 24/7 since 2016 and once again, we call upon your help.

Previously your help has enabled us to expand our licensing to new territories and enabled us to be able to support kickstarter campaigns for several ska projects.

It costs approximately £1500 in licensing and broadcasting fees to keep www.buttondownradio.com going before we buy music to play you. Many lovely bands submit their music for free, but we also buy lots of music every week, supporting small and independent bands and festivals as much as we can. (Check out our impressive Bandcamp collection! Over 1000 ska releases acquired so far)

We sign up for licensing as our reporting enables bands to be paid more for the music they produce - and it keeps us legal!

As we approach the 8th year of broadcasting, the cost of living crisis intensifies. We know there are many MANY more deserving causes than us and feeding your family and keeping them warm is the most important thing. BUT... if you could spare a pound / dollar / Euro to keep world ska that would be amazing.

Each donation occurs a 3% + £0.25 fee - so a £0.76 donation would yield £0.50

We have over 20,000 followers on our socials so if everyone donated, a 50p donation would see us broadcasting well into the future.
