Support Oscar Mariano Duque's Brain Tumor Battle

Hello, my name is Oscar M. Duque, but my family calls me Mariano. The reason I am writing this is to give some information on what is happening. I am a 30-year-old male who was recently diagnosed with two tumors on my brain. One requires a surgery while the other may require chemo or another form of treatment.

I am the oldest son of my family, and I am a recipient of DACA. I am also responsible for helping my parents and my younger brother who I am a caretaker of. He has special needs with various health issues and suffers from a rare illness called Anemia Fanconi. I do not have the illness, but I am a carrier of the gene. I had just started working at a school before my incident, in a program called Marshall Teacher Residency (MTR) to gain some experience and get my credentials to finally become a Single Subject English Teacher. I love Literature and as of July, I have become a published Author. My first book out of a potential series is called A Dance of Black and White (This is a fictional Romance) it is short but it is very tale that has taken me a few years to write. It can be found on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and soon through Audible.

I am writing this in hopes that people are able to help me and my family gather funds in order to pay for my medical bills, and that my parents have the support to help pay keep my bills up to date as I have a long road to recovery. The diagnosis doesn’t look too promising based on the risk of the procedure and this course of events has left me fearful of what can happen. Once again, this is a plea for help, and it’s taken me a while to digest everything that’s going on. I hope I am able to recover and have control over my life again as I unfortunately am solemnly dependent on my parents for now. Thank you in advance for your support!
