Support Oscar's Journey to Heal
Donation protected
As many of you know on Sunday afternoon March 2nd, Oscar was playing outside and was attacked by two unknown dogs. The dogs did traumatic damage to Oscar's face and his right arm.
Oscar was brought directly to Children's Hospital and underwent seven hours of initial surgery upon arrival.
Over the next few years, Oscar will require many reconstructive surgeries that require extended hospital stays. While the family has health insurance, Rachel and John will be taking significant time off work and will lose income on top of the additional expenses required to support not only his physical healing but the family's emotional trauma as well.
Rachel and John have been at the hospital around the clock and will continue to stay by Oscar's side through his hospital stay. The staff at Children's Hospital have been incredible, and we are so grateful to all of the people involved in caring for our beloved Oscar.
Many of you have already given in such incredible ways, the family is so grateful and appreciate every card, note, video message, meal and donation.
