Support Oscar's Senior Year After the Tragic loss of his Dad
Donation protected
Aloha- we are Kamu and Erica and we have been long time neighbors and friends with Mike. We are posting this fundraiser on behalf of Oscar and Tim Shea.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mike Shea on Friday, December 6th. Mike touched the lives of so many- he was someone who truly embodied what it meant to live life to the fullest. He had an unparalleled love for the ocean, boating, and outdoors, always finding his joy on the water, or outdoors camping. Mike was the kind of person who would drop everything to help anyone in need, without judgement, always putting others before himself. But above all, Mike's greatest pride and joy was being a father to Oscar.
Mike raised Oscar on his own. They were best friends and over the years shared many adventures. Together they traveled, camped under the stars, and spent countless joyful days on their boat. They loved eating hot pot together and would always find a hot pot restaurant to eat at in their travels across the country. Mike often spoke about how proud he was of Oscar, who has grown in to a kind, compassionate and empathetic young man.
Tragically, Mike’s life was cut short, leaving Oscar to navigate his senior year of Kaiser High School on his own. His closest family is in Boston, which makes this time even more difficult.
We are so grateful for the community that has rallied behind Oscar over the last couple of weeks to show him that he is loved and not alone. We are humbly asking for your support for Oscar during this heartbreaking transition. Donations will go toward covering Oscar’s living expenses, household needs, and senior activities as he finishes his last semester of high school.
Your generosity will provide stability and comfort during this difficult time and help Oscar prepare for the next chapter of his life as he moves to Boston to be with family after graduation.
Mikes legacy of love and adventure lives on through Oscar and all of us who knew and loved him.
