Support Our 1st HVMS Day of Service
Donation protected
Hello!
Happy Valley Middle School is excited to announce our first-ever school-wide 'Day of Service' to be held at the end of May.
Student Council members have been diligently organizing this event as a way to give back to our community and recognize our veterans for Memorial Day. What better way to recognize those who serve than by serving our local community?
The students at HVMS will be doing projects like assembling care bags for the homeless, making hygiene kits for young children who are experiencing housing insecurity, writing letters to veterans and making toys for animals to play with. All 1,100 students will be participating over the course of the school day to make this Day of Service a success.
We will be donating all of those projects to local organizations such as Oregon Humane Society, Northwest Children's Outreach and Portland Rescue Mission. This project will allow our students to help others in our community and make a difference in our world. We are asking you to help fund our big day.
We have already started fundraising this year but we are still in need of funds to purchase things like toothpaste, deodorant, band aids, masks, shampoo and other personal items. Purchasing 1,100 of each item is - as you can imagine - quite the undertaking.
Anything you can donate will help!
Yours in Service,
Brad Cole and the HVMS Student Council
