Support our 3 Peaks Challenge for Sophie’s Story

A group of, current and former, Inverness Caley Thistle Women’s players are taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge in May 2025. We are raising funds for Sophie’s Story . Sophie and her family are very close to our hearts. Sophie’s aunty, Karen Mason, is the clubs head coach & manager. Kar has provided so many footballing opportunities for girls and women around Inverness and so many people have benefited from her dedication to the club & game. Sophie’s dad, Keith Mason, has previously coached us and helped Kar out over many seasons. Sophie’s whole family are our top cheerleaders, with many of them, including Sophie, ever present on a Sunday.
In November 2024 Sophie was diagnosed with Batten Disease (CLN1). Battens Disease is a rare neurodegenerative condition which is fatal and has no cure. It is our hope to raise as much money as we can to support Sophie’s family to ensure she has the most comfortable and fulfilled life possible. Sophie’s family have supported us in so many ways for so long and it is now our time to support them.
Our challenge will start in Wales and finish in Fort William. The aim is to climb the 3 highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland all within 24 hour, something we know will be physically and mentally challenging but something we are all very motivated to achieve.
