Help Galdino Fight Cancer & Get Back His Food Truck

Donation protected
Hello, I am Don Galdino Molinero, and I want to share my story. Carlos Hernandez is organizing this fundraiser for me and my family. I am the main beneficiary.
My life changed suddenly in April of last year. I woke up with a tight throat, and after several treatments, the situation only worsened. Finally, a doctor discovered masses obstructing my vocal cords. From that moment, the news was devastating I had cancer, and not one, but two types—one in my throat and another in my colon.
Despite everything, I do not give up. I am an immigrant who has fought with everything I have, for my family and for my life. However, recently, on February 15th, the police shut down my only source of income: my torta food truck. I make the best giant tortas in New York, and through this, I could support my family and continue fighting my Cancer. Now, without that income, I find myself in a very difficult situation.
I have a second food truck, but its engine is damaged, and repairing it costs $12,000 to pay the mechanic and get a new engine. Additionally, I need another $25,000 to obtain the necessary permit from the city to operate and open the food truck and sell again my Tortas Gigantes. In total, I need approximately $37,000 to get back to work and move forward. With this money I raise here from my fundraising, I will pay for what I just mentioned, these funds from this GoFundMe will be so helpful for me and my family to continue with my Cancer treatment.
Throughout my life, I have always been there for others, offering my help, my effort, and my time to the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when almost no one wanted to go out for fear of infection, my family and I were out weekly distributing food baskets, hot meals, and biosecurity supplies. I have been there for my community because I am a strong believer in human solidarity.
However, now, I find myself in the painful position of having to ask for help. It is difficult for me, but I do it for my family, for my children, for my life. When I have had the chance to help others, I have done so wholeheartedly. I’ve always said, when I have had to contribute my bit: “Little by little, the jar gets filled.” This means that no matter if it’s a penny or a dollar, when we come together, with many small contributions, we can gather enough to show solidarity and help others.
Today, I find myself asking for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will greatly help me continue fighting for my health, for my family, and to win this difficult battle against cancer.
With all my heart,

Hola, soy Don Galdino Molinero y quiero contarles mi historia.
Galdino Molinero "Tortas Neza"
