Help Climate Leader Zain Haq Fight Deportation
Donation protected
Zain Haq is a 21-year-old climate activist facing deportation from Canada because of his nonviolent civil disobedience. If deported to Pakistan, he will face serious risks.
Zain is a leader in the Canadian climate movement. He helped win divestment from fossil fuels at his university and co-founded the group Save Old Growth which brought tremendous attention to the logging of thousand-year-old trees in British Columbia.
He is dedicated to waking up Canadians to the climate emergency. He feels the Global North must understand the acute climate-induced suffering in the global South. Spreading this message is his moral responsibility.
His student visa has been revoked, and there is a removal order in place for him.
But it's not too late. With your help, Zain will make a humanitarian case for staying in Canada and argue that it is not safe for him to return to Pakistan. Canada needs dedicated activists like Zain.
Let's have his back.
