Support Our DOHMH Colleague - Nina Rothschild

Dear Colleagues:

As you may have heard, a member of our DOHMH family, Nina Rothschild, was the victim of a horrific, violent attack at the Queens Plaza subway station on Thursday, February 24th. She is currently hospitalized and receiving care for her injuries. Although Nina’s family hasn’t opened up visitation yet, a colleague was able to see her over the weekend. Nina greeted them with a big smile as she always has. Nina said she looks forward to returning to the office and we, of course, look forward to that day. For now, her only job is to focus on her recovery.

The outpouring of support has been incredible and so many of you have asked what you can do to help. It’s still very early in Nina’s recovery and we're not sure what she will need in the long run. In the meantime, we have set up this GoFundMe page for Nina. There is also a Kudoboard where you can post a message for Nina.

We will provide additional details as soon as we have them, as well as suggestions about ways you can support Nina and her family.
