Seeding hope, harvesting change
We are Silvia Carradori and Marika Giannoccari, producers of Meet me at the pulse of dawn and founders of AmeliorAction. With a strong ideological stand focused on inclusivity, equality and solidarity, we use art as a form of activism in response to the politics of hate and exclusion that are recurring all over the world.
Transcending the medium of pure dance, we design high-quality creative experiences that blend together different art forms in hybrid performances. We want to create an inclusive environment in which artists can thrive through collaboration and co-creation, encouraging experimentation and community building.
Our aim is to bring together diverse artists and audiences around sensitive topics and contemporary societal issues to question the current state of things and lay the foundation for positive change.
About Meet me at the pulse of dawn
Twelve artists (performing and visual) from different backgrounds come together to celebrate the strength of their art
To challenge, to claim, to condemn, to disrupt, to begin, to rebuild, to resist.
Meet me at the pulse of dawn is an anthology of voices, an ensemble of different ideas and thoughts that revolve around Resistance. Offering new perspectives through the artists and their work, we want to respond with hope and change to the politics of hate and exclusion that are echoing all around the world. But what does resistance mean? What does it look and sound like?
We propose politically charged performances of resistance, in all its different facets and nuances. Celebrating diversity and the power of the arts, we want to devise a space where, together, we unite our voices and create alternative future possibilities. For one exciting evening, Ugly Duck will be a space to search for other possible courses of action through performances and installations by an incredible line-up of artists:
Guest Artist: Salvatore Siciliano
AmeliorAction strongly believes in the indispensable work of artists, who are immensely valued. For this reason, especially in the current global economic crisis, we want to remunerate them properly and all the income received from this campaign will be used to cover the cost of production and the artists' fee. As we are a DIY, not-for-profit independent collective, every little bit helps!
With your indispensable support, we will be able to cover a £500 fee for each artist, which will include:
- 1 week of studio time to co-create and rehearse
- performance fee
- material needed for the works
- transportation of the artworks exhibited
Ultimately, such financial support will allow these young artists to sustain and progress their careers by giving them the time and the space to research and develop their practice. It will also allow them to showcase their work in an established London venue (Ugly Duck), exposing their works to new audiences and giving them the possibility to enlarge their network and connections.
Rewards:
- Your name will be exhibited at the show, so you will be recognised as an essential funder of the event (unless you'd like to be anonymous)
- £50: a free ticket for our show

Who we are
My name is Marika and I am co-producing Meet me at the pulse of dawn as part of my BA Hons in Arts Management at Goldsmiths, University of London.
My journey in the arts started back in 1996, when I started practising ballet, a passion that accompanied me during my whole life and led me to move to Milan, where I studied and graduated in Contemporary Dance Performance at DanceHaus – Accademia di Susanna Beltrami, in June 2014. During the three years in Milan, I started my professional dancer and performer career being part of events such as Body and Light, a collaboration with the European Institute of Design in Milan, La Darsena ritrovata, Milan Dance EXPO, blenDRUMStheatre with Leonard Eto, FiveHorizons : the first international Pearl Jam photo exhibition and the site specific creation Dancing Island Amorgos (GR).
In October 2014, I moved to Berlin, where I worked as dancer with Siciliano Contemporary Ballet until 2018, when, after four years of collaborations with other artists as well (dancers, choreographers, musicians, performance artists, videomakers, fashion designers) in the German capital, I moved to London and, in 2020, I started my BA in Arts Management at Goldsmiths University.
I’m Silvia and I’m the co-producer of the event that will be the final part of my BA in Arts Management at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Similarly to Marika, I developed a love for dance when I was 11 years old in my local school Dance Studio, Cesena. At 19 I decided to pursue my dream and moved to the UK to study at The Centre of Performing Arts College, gaining a Diploma in Theatre Performance. Upon graduating, I joined Chrysalis London as a freelance artist, performing choreographies by Jodie Blemings, Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy, Iona Bree. I worked with Hinge Dance Company and Becky Namgauds, while collaborating with artists from different backgrounds in hybrid performances.
In 2019, I joined B-Hybrid Dance and a year later I started my journey at Goldsmiths. Alongside my studies, I started working at Ugly Duck and assisting in the production of other artists' works. This helped me understand a new passion of mine: bringing people together through the arts by creating meaningful experiences that stimulate imagination and creativity.
A huge thank you for your attention and help!

Chi siamo
Seminando speranza, raccogliendo cambiamento
Siamo Marika e Silvia, produttrici di Meet me at the pulse of dawn e fondatrici di AmeliorAction.
Presto arrivano i biglietti!
Ricompensa:
