I have lived in the Palisades and surrounding area since I was a kid. A california native. I worked hard, saved up and bought our cute little bungalow 16 years ago so we could raise our kids in a safe area with great schools.

We've lost everything. Our home, where we raised our children and celebrated countless milestones, is gone – all turned to ash. We left with nothing but the clothes on our backs, our hearts heavy with the weight of our loss.

Right now, we're staying with generous friends, trying to process the enormity of what's happened. The outpouring of love from our community has been a beacon of light in this dark time, but the road ahead is daunting. We need to find a new place to live, replace essential items, and somehow begin to rebuild our lives.
