Support our family during a medical crisis
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of vulnerability. My husband has been in and out of the hospital for the past month due to complications from sickle cell disease. While we’ve been trying our best to manage, we’re now facing a financial crisis.
Despite his ongoing health issues, my husband isn’t eligible for social security benefits because his income is considered too high. However, short-term disability will only cover us until September 6th. After that, we have no safety net.
As for me, I’m unable to work because I’m the primary caregiver for our two young children, ages 2 and 4. On top of this, I’m also taking care of my father, who is battling last-stage multiple myeloma. Unfortunately, he doesn’t qualify for in-home care or Medicaid because he isn’t yet 55.
We’re doing everything we can to keep our heads above water, but we need your help. Your donation will help us cover medical bills, daily expenses, and provide some much-needed stability during this incredibly challenging time.
Any amount you can give would mean the world to us. If you’re unable to contribute financially, we would be so grateful if you could share our story with others.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and kindness.
With gratitude,
Olivia
Update: my husband is now home from the hospital and still waiting approval from disability. My dad’s cancer has gotten worst and he is currently in hospice care. I appreciate all the love and support.
