Support our little family : Erin's Recovery.
Donation protected
Hello, Charlie here. I hope that this reaches the friends, family and maybe even a few big hearted strangers.
I'll be honest, asking for help is not something I go out of my way to do, I rather be the one helping. However, my little family has come face to face with tragedy this weekend, so if there is any appropriate time to ask for support and help, it's now.
My fiancé, Erin McNamara, is currently in the INTENSIVE CARE UNIT at Ohio Health Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Erin, I and our daughter drove 4 hours to see my mother, that night Erin went to bed, and had a series of seizure activity that resulted in her brain struggling to regulate her breathing. This went unnoticed until early Saturday morning, at which point lead to hypoxia, swelling of the brain due to lack of oxygen.
Currently Erin is alone in her room and heavily sedated, Her wrists bound to the bed to stop her from removing a set of tubes running oxygen from a ventilator into her chest to help her breathe. By her bed I speak to her, telling her I'm here and we miss her. Her eyes remain shut, her hand limp in mine. I want to believe it when I say she will be okay, that she will wake up and we can go home to the remodeled apartment she's looked forward to. However, the doctor know more then me and they are not so hopeful despite their false encouragement.
So what was supposed to be a simple trip to make one mother happy, we face the possibility of losing another.
I have started this gofundme not only for financial support for the coming weeks for her recovery but also to pass along the message that this young woman and her family will never be the same.
This money will help the financial burden of what these next couple weeks (hopefully) will require;
- Lodging in another state.
- Transportation to the hospital and future treatment centers.
- Normal bills going unpaid without work.
- Everyday expenses while visiting.
Whether you can support our little family with a dollar, a hundred or the simple act of prayer, we thank you. I do not know what the future has in store for us but I want to be here every step of the way to bring the love of my life and the mother of my child home and healthy. Thank you everyone
