At Cat Tales of Prince William, our mission is clear - to provide shelter, food, emergency services, and trap/neuter/release (TNR) for the homeless cats in our community. As a nonprofit organization, our vision is to deliver daily care for these feline friends while educating our community about cat welfare.

The Impact of TNR

We actively participate in TNR efforts, a humane process that involves trapping cats and bringing them to a veterinarian for spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and ear-tipping. The universally recognized sign of a neutered and vaccinated community cat, ear-tipping allows us to track and support these cats.

The Challenge Ahead

Spring brings more mama cats with kittens, all needing food and medical care. Spaying or neutering each cat and providing basic shots costs $150-200 per cat. For a mama cat with four kittens, this adds up to around $1,000.

Currently, we feed 10 cats daily in northern Prince William County and assist volunteers in feeding another 20-30 cats. Our volunteers also trap community cats needing medical care for injuries, ensuring they receive proper treatment.
