Under One Banner - COVID 19 Fundraiser. The Gambia

In the recent weeks there has been an acute rise in  COVID-19 infection cases in The Gambia which is causing incredible strain on the health service and personnel. 
As a group of professionals from Marina International School Alumni, based both in the Gambia and abroad, we have established links with key service providers to find out their immediate needs and which gaps exist. 

The aim of this fundraiser is to meet some of those identified needs paying particular attention to the most vulnerable and marginalized populations both in urban and rural areas as much as possible in The Gambia. 

With the funds raised we will: 

1. Support the front line health workers with essential supplies/services to ensure continuity in meeting the needs of the Gambian community

2. Provide complementary support to PUBLIC hospitals with medication, affordable equipment to meet the gaps identified by health professionals.

3. Support the community with face masks, hand sanitizers, soap, food essentials, etc.

4. Increase public awareness campaigns on Covid-19 within communities.

These urgent objectives will be met in partnership with/and through supporting the vital work of the following organisations.

- The Gambia Red Cross
- The National Association of Gambian Nurses and Midwives Association (NAGaNM)
- Pharmaceutical Society of The Gambia
