Help Us Find Our Missing Friend
Donation protected
On Saturday, April 28th, our friend and experienced sailor David Sheridan went
for an early season sail on Lake Pepin and never returned. On Sunday, April
29th, David's boat was recovered across the lake from where he launched, but
David was not aboard.
Local law enforcement agencies, rescue divers, search and recovery teams, and
local volunteers have spent the last four weeks continuing the search for David in
the water and on land. Captain Dave is very much missed by his family, loved
ones, and community.
At this point in the recovery effort, we are looking to raise funds to continue to
support the search for David. The cost of this ongoing search, beyond the efforts
of Wabasha Sheriff's office and Pepin's local police and fire departments, has
become the responsibility of the community and David's family. Funds will be
utilized to pay for additional search resources, travel, gas, food and lodging on an
as needed basis. Any remaining funds at the conclusion of the recovery effort
will be distributed to the non-profit organizations supporting this effort.
Please consider donating online to this GoFundMe campaign or in person at the
Bank of Alma, Pepin Branch - David Sheridan’s Search Fund Account. This will
certainly help us continue our efforts to bring David home.
With gratitude,
