Support Our Son's Heart Surgery Journey

In November of 2023, we found out that our son has Mitral Valve Regurgitation, a hole in a valve flap, and enlarged heart. When his heart pumps, the valve “leaks” and doesn’t push all the blood out of the chamber and to the rest of his body. Causing his heart to become overworked and enlarged.

While playing football in August of 2024, he began having chest pains more frequently. He went for his check up and they wanted to monitor at the 6 month mark. He returned to cardiologist in April 2025. While at his cardiologist, they proposed that it might be time to have surgery.

I received the phone call for him to have open heart surgery to replace the valve scheduled for May 2025. We will go to Oklahoma City, OU Medical, Children’s Heart Clinic for surgery on May 20, 2025.

Though his surgery will be covered, there are other expenses we are worried about. We will leave on May 18th, and be in a hotel next to the hospital for 10days. Not only will we have gas, food, and lodging expenses for ourselves while there, we still have children and bills at home to be taken care of. We will be out of work for minimum 2 weeks.

I am trying to come up with other fundraising to help raise money for our expenses and will be participating in our community wide garage sale, also. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
