Support Our Youth Group's Service Trip to Belize

It is not every day that students from northern New Jersey have the chance to form friendships and serve alongside a Q'eqchi' Maya Youth Group in Belize. FCC Montclair and St. Joseph's Church in Jacintoville, Belize have partnered since 2014 to offer this unique opportunity. The tangible results of our friendship include a new church and hurricane shelter in Belize. The value of this cross-cultural immersion experience, however, cannot be quantified. Loretta Graceffo, who was part of the first group from FCC to serve in Belize said, "Going to Belize was a chance to become grounded in my faith, an opportunity to learn in relationship, and a reminder that I am part of a global community. The trip changed my life and shaped who I am in ways that have stayed with me a decade later."
FCC Montclair is committed to ensuring that all the students can participate in this transformative experience. We are currently hoping to raise $9,000 to help cover the costs for chaperones and families that need assistance.
