It takes a village to paint the town! We need your help!
Please consider donating to our newest mural projects coming in the summer/fall of 2024!

In July: FOLLOW YOUR PATH: THE ECLIPSE MURAL In celebration of the 2024 total eclipse, Outside Art is creating a fun and interactive mural at the Plattsburgh City Beach. Lead artist Andrew McGill will create a colorful series of images along a break wall at the City Beach. Viewers will be encouraged to “follow your own path,” “be part of something bigger,” and “see the good in others,” as they trace the moment of totality collectively experienced during the eclipse to images of the lake, sun, moons, and beach.

In August: THE CHAMPLAIN CANAL BOATS MURAL In collaboration with the Samuel de Champlain History Center and The Village of Champlain, the “Village of Champlain Canal Boats Mural,” will celebrate the historic shipyards that created the important local industry on Lake Champlain for over 100 years. The design will be a rendering of a historic photo provided by the museum and it will be painted by local artist Greg Badger at Red Canoe Coffee and Books.
In September: THE POETS’ MURAL In collaboration with the Clinton County Historical Association and Museum and The City of Plattsburgh, “The Poets’ Mural,” will celebrate the lives of Plattsburgh poets, and sisters, Lucretia and Margaret Davidson. This fall, artist Brendon Palmer-Angell (painter of the “Jean Arthur Mural” and the “Reach for the Stars! The Michael Anderson Mural”) is returning to paint the portraits of notable young American writers. The mural will be located next to the east bank of the Saranac River at 63 Bridge Street.

We are asking local businesses, supporters, and art lovers for donations at all levels large and small: “Gold level” for $1,000, “Silver level” for $500, “Red level” for $250, “Orange level” for $100, “Yellow Level” for $50, “Green level” for $25, “Blue level” for $10, or “Purple level” for $5. We are also seeking “in-kind” donations of supplies and equipment.
