Our story up to 1 month ago

Dear OverGravity Family and Friends,

OverGravity has been offering gymnastics classes for adults in London for over six years. We are proud to have built a community of over 2,500 people who share our passion and regularly attend our weekly classes. OverGravity has become a hub for performers, artists, and individuals of all ages to learn incredible skills, share their love for gymnastics, movement, and well-being, and create meaningful connections.

But this is now at risk of ending suddenly.

We recently announced that OverGravity found a new venue, as our current lease is nearing its end, and the building we are in will soon be demolished to make way for flats. We have been working tirelessly for months to secure an alternative location, and although we found one, our planning application was unfortunately refused.

What We Are Doing to Save OverGravity

(updated) After 3 weeks of nightmares, we are now secuiring a new venue in Shadwell, E1 0DB. We are crossing our fingers whilst we wait to complete the final paperwork.

Why We Still Need Your Help

We are facing one of the most challenging times of our lives. The recent news has deeply affected us, and we are doing everything we can to support and protect our staff, our community, and our dream. But we cannot do it alone.

How You Can Help

Any contribution, big or small, will help us cover legal and operational costs. The urgency of the situation didn't leave us a choice but to move as quickly as possible, for our people and for our community. We are now one step away from securing a new location, but we still need you for the final stretch! Your help can allow us invest the money in hiring a service to move quickly, protecting our staff jobs and income which relays solely on the gym being open and operational.

What Matteo and Davide created stemmed from a desire to offer a chance—a chance to be playful, to reconnect with our bodies and minds, to learn something we didn’t have the opportunity to learn when we were younger. Now, we are looking for that second chance. And we are confident that, with your help, we can overcome this challenge.
