Support Owen's Girlfriend's Cancer Battle

My name is Patti Spence Martin and I am starting this fundraiser for my son Owen's girlfriend/significant other/best friend. She is currently fighting two forms of thyroid cancer. The out-of-pocket costs so far for medical treatment are $8,000.00. Insurance is covering only 60% of the specialist-recommended treatment.

She has also been out of work for much of this time (now reaching 6 weeks) and she has 3 children to support. Surgery is looming if the radiation doesn't get rid of the cancer.
